very happy holidays

Christmas was stretched into 3 days this year due to cousin Watson's early arrival on December 23rd. It worked out quite nicely really, plenty of time for celebrating with entire family. Christmas eve at the Seda's as usual to get things started right! Christmas morning at home with Grandma Barb and Grandpa Mike joining us in the afternoon for dinner and a sleep-over. And... the big shabang on the 26th with Grammy Connie, Bubba and all the rest gathered at our place. Lots of love, lots of food and lots of gifts! So much to be thankful for.

trick or treat!

Lila went trick-or-treating for the first time this year. What fun! We started our evening at the annual neighborhood Halloween party then headed out with all the kids for some trick-or-treat fun. Lila tried to enter the first couple of houses (luckily we know those neighbors!) then quickly got the hang of things. While I expected her to be a bit shy the first time around, she was full of "trick-or-treat", "happy halloween", and "thank you's." We had planned to hit up just a few select houses but Lila was having so much fun we did almost 2 blocks and she would have kept on going if given the chance. Overall, a big success!


Lila had originally planned to be Elmo but the doggy costume won out in the end...

Pumpkin Patch!

We hit up the pumpkin patch with Gail and the boys a few weeks back. Lila had a blast checking out all the animals (without getting too close - turns out Lila finds cows to be very scary in person...), finding pumpkins and hanging with some of her favorite people. Of course the highlight of Lila's trip was the rice krispie treat that Kelton & Brady brought for her. The kid has a major sweet tooth.

someone had a birthday!

We celebrated Lila's 2nd birthday today. She has been waiting eagerly for this day to arrive and I think it was everything she hoped for. We had a fantastic day filled with birthday wishes, gifts, a trip to the zoo with some of our favorite people, cupcakes, and more of our favorite people. I hope every birthday can bring Lila as much joy.

Blowing out her candles a second time (after licking all the frosting off her cupcake). Brandon could have put a little more into the singing I think. He managed good bit better the first time around - unfortunately we don't have that on video!
